This role will function primarily as a technical lead on a B2B customer‑facing portal product team. It is responsible for driving the technical feasibility and architecture of new product development, ensuring solutions align with Cargill’s engineering principles, security standards, and IT ecosystem. The role collaborates with cross‑functional teams to define, design and implement new features, and advises platform upgrades to improve performance and functionality.

It also troubleshoots and debugs complex issues, mentors engineers, contributes code, and ensures products meet internal policies and deliver customer value.

• Software development:
  Designs and develops an approach and guidance for high quality software solutions.
• Collaboration:
  
  Partners with a cross‑functional team of product managers, designers and engineers, as well as dependent teams (BOOMI, Data, SAP) to gather complex requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
• Mentoring:
  Supports technical talent through coaching, providing technical guidance, and accessing their skillsets to challenge and drive growth.
• Continuous improvement:
  Recommends options for improving the software development and deployment processes and implements approved standards to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Documentation:
  Creates and maintains comprehensive documentation for complex software applications, deployment processes and system configurations.
• Technical support:
  Provides technical support, removes blockers, and troubleshoots complex issues with deployed applications to ensure minimal downtime and fast resolution.

Minimum requirement of 4 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 5 years or more of relevant experience.

• Proven experience in B2B platform engineering and technologies such as REACT, Sprint Boot, and Java.
• Familiarity with Salesforce, Docker, Kubernetes, Cypress, Sonar, Open Search, AWS and microservices architecture.
• Strong foundation in core engineering principles, with the ability to apply them to solution design, scalability, and performance optimization in B2B environments.
• Proficiency with modern engineering toolsets (e.g., Git Hub, CI/CD pipelines, backlog management) to support agile delivery and operational transparency.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with product teams across diverse B2B domains, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and platform strategy.

This role's internal title is Senior Software Engineer.

Hybrid role located in our Atlanta, Georgia.
