Mechanical Project Engineer

SEH is an employee‑owned engineering, architectural, planning, and environmental company. We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer IV to join our Mechanical & Electrical team. The role is hybrid, based in St. Paul, MN, with remote options for Minnesota and nearby states (Minnetonka, Rochester, Mankato, Des Moines, Sioux City, Duluth, St. Cloud.

• Collaborate on projects of varying size and complexity that positively impact communities.
• Design reliable mechanical and electrical systems for buildings—from skyscrapers to tenant improvements and utilities.
• Interpret and apply applicable design codes, standards, and specifications.
• Manage work activities and project team responsibilities, providing status updates to supervisors.
• Attend client meetings, field surveys, and construction observations; travel to sites as needed.

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in MN.
• 8+ years of experience in commercial/industrial system design, piping, and HVAC.
• Project management experience with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in design codes, standards, and specification interpretation.
• Ability to travel for client consultations, site surveys, and construction observation.
