Overview
The HRST Drafter / Designer has the responsibility of supplying product and design upgrades to the HRSG and process industry. The Drafter / Designer and/or their project team have front line contact with the customer from the proposal stage through project completion. Successful performance in this role requires effective communication, strong analytical skills balanced with practical experience and a strong commitment to developing better processes.
Responsibilities- Coordinate or assist in product and design projects from beginning to end, managing design functions, schedules (fabrication, installation, and drawings), shipping & invoicing, tracking cost and revenue information, tasks and resources.
- Design HRST standard products and unique customer solutions.
- Create CAD drawings for all company needs, including but not limited to Proposal, Arrangements, Bid Package, fabrication and installation.
- Produce ASME code calc packages for pressure parts.
- Development improvements to HRST s standard products and help develop new customer solutions.
- Support Marketing of products or unique customer solutions.
- Propose products and services including estimating time and materials, obtain quotes, verify lead times with vendors. Follow-up on proposals, process purchase orders and coordinate project kickoffs.
- Assist lead inspectors on HRSG inspections, customer meetings and report writing.
- Perform on site technical advisory duties required for the installation of HRST products and customer solutions as needed.
- Flexible team player who thrives in environments requiring ability to effectively prioritize and juggle multiple concurrent projects.
- Strong communicator who effectively conveys information verbally and in writing.
- Computer-literate performer with extensive software proficiency covering wide variety of Microsoft Office applications and AutoCAD.
- Results-driven achiever with exemplary planning and organizational skills, along with a high degree of detail orientation.
- Must be able to pass background check and I-9 Verification
- Minimum 2-year technical degree
