Technical Support Specialist – Software​/Hardware

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in a support role within Information Technology.
• Previous experience in Healthcare IT is preferred.
• Proficient knowledge of Windows and Mac Operating Systems, Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and Active Directory is required.
• Strong conceptual, analytical, judgment, and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Utilize a ticketing system to receive, troubleshoot, and resolve support requests.
• Collaborate closely with Application Specialists to address, troubleshoot, and resolve core application issues.
• Coordinate with third‑party vendors and additional IT resources to deliver technical assistance to end users through phone, email, and in‑person interactions.
• Participate in and assist with new software and hardware implementations, create documentation, and conduct software testing and evaluation as necessary.
• Some implementations or new deployments may involve working hours beyond the usual weekday schedule or on weekends, depending on the situation.
• Work collaboratively with users at all levels on relevant projects to effectively utilize resources, prioritize tasks, and ensure quality and timely delivery.
• Adhere to all regulatory requirements while assisting in the development of processes and procedures to ensure compliance.

Candidates must be able to travel to all UVP Minnesota locations as needed and should have reliable transportation; mileage reimbursement will be provided for travel between sites.
