Overview
Manager, FP&A (Strategic Advisory Services) at VMG Health. Responsibilities- Scope engagements from small to large size, considering schedule and cost to ensure profitable engagements.
- Provide timely status updates to project team members at appropriate levels (staff to Director/Managing Director).
- Ensure project tracking and status documents are updated in a timely fashion.
- Develop and continually improve FP&A tools and techniques.
- Develop and implement effective engagement communications to clients and ensure team compliance.
- Communicate engagement aspects to staff on their respective engagements.
- Develop weekly training environments for staff, including designed training sessions and ad hoc training related to client delivery.
- Demonstrate broad understanding and competence across healthcare segments.
- Work with large datasets, aggregating information and summarizing using Tableau and/or Power BI.
- Uphold integrity, professionalism, and respect towards clients and colleagues.
- Keep engagements on schedule by setting internal deadlines and coordinating with team members.
- Ensure accuracy throughout the strategic advisory and financial planning process from data receipt to client deliverables.
- Provide insight and direction to team members by participating in training or seminars with supervisors.
- Offer guidance on analysis and approach to engagements for clients and staff.
- Participate in calls and site visits as required.
- Communicate with clients during the engagement process to explain opinions/results.
- Maintain sound administrative practices in expense management and billing for services.
- Author or co-author at least one article for publication annually (internal and/or external).
- Provide feedback to staff and supervisors to support personal development of team members.
- Promote VMG’s corporate culture and develop activities that strengthen it.
- Understand all VMG services and communicate them to clients to generate new business opportunities.
- Participate in recruiting and make hiring recommendations to the Managing Directors as needed.
- Minimum 5 years of combined business strategy experience, with FP&A experience in direct and managerial roles.
- Bachelor of Business Administration (Accounting/Finance) or MBA/Master’s in Finance or Accounting.
- Understanding of value drivers in healthcare and knowledge of rules/regulations affecting healthcare (e.g., Stark laws, Anti-Kickback statutes).
- Strong knowledge of accounting, financial and valuation theory.
- Financial modeling experience.
- Mastery of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI and/or Tableau, and Word.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to provide customer service internally and externally as a core part of the job.
- Ability to develop and lead team members through training and mentoring.
