High Voltage Senior Project Manager - Renewables

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our Renewables team in the Minneapolis, MN office. The Senior Project Manager will focus on high‑voltage projects and lead our Renewables Markets (Wind, Solar, Storage, EV) into a sustainable energy future.

Duties and Responsibilities

As a Senior Project Manager, you will oversee large, strategic priority, and/or high‑risk high‑voltage projects in the renewables division. Your main focus is building strong client relationships, managing project teams, and ensuring successful project completion. You may manage a portfolio of clients and their associated projects.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Project Management: Take full accountability for multiple high‑voltage wind, solar, and/or storage projects; manage stakeholder relationships; coordinate and lead project teams.
  • Proposal/Opportunity/Contracting: Perform Go/No‑Go reviews on new leads; interpret client needs, prioritize, and set proposal strategy; coordinate proposal preparation with service leadership; lead the contracting process with support from market leadership.
  • Client Management: Provide program management for a portfolio of clients; develop and implement client strategies; establish, track, and meet revenue and sales targets; manage client relationships.
  • Team Leadership: Demonstrate effective leadership and team management; facilitate communication between service teams; set clear expectations; demonstrate financial responsibility and understanding of project financial metrics; use strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; embrace adaptability, resiliency, and innovation; represent the organization in communications related to assigned clients and the industry.
Required Experience
  • Industry experience in Power Projects (Transmission, Distribution, Substation, Renewables, or Energy Storage).
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical, business, or project management relevant field.
  • 5–10 years of project management experience.
  • Professional licensure in a technical field or PMP certification (or ability to obtain).
  • Strong understanding of and relationships with various technical service groups.
  • Ability to cross‑sell and manage work in any service and sub‑market.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to lead issue resolution.
  • Ability to mentor and provide guidance to project management staff.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong cognitive ability and professionalism.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Financial acumen and understanding of project financial metrics.
  • Adaptability, resiliency, and innovation.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in wind, solar, and/or storage industry.
  • Strategic pursuits and proposal efforts.
  • Client management and program management.
  • Contract negotiations.
  • Risk management and issue resolution.
  • Coordinating with business leadership for strategic alignment.
  • Representing your company in communications and conferences.
