Overview
As an experienced Technical Arborist Trainer for Rainbow Treecare (a division of Rainbow Companies), you will assist the lead trainer in providing both entry level and advanced technical arborist skills to staff. You will assist in formal training and development for all prune care employees while conducting consistent onsite, hands-on training. At least two years of prior climbing or comparable experience is a must, along with a desire to grow with our 100% employee-owned local company.
This is a full-time weekday position based out of our Minnetonka, Little Canada, or Burnsville location.
What You Will Do- Communicate training techniques in a way that is accessible and effective for all individuals
- Monitor climbers and routinely check on progress
- Keep up to date with emerging technologies in the arboriculture industry
- Assist in the development of new training modules
- Provide management with documented feedback on individuals skillset
- Provide corrective action and promotion recommendations
- Monitor, enforce, and document safety/policy violations or inappropriate behavior
- Be up to date with current ANSI standards and company policies
- Identify and implement safeguards to protect employees from workplace hazards
- Work with foreman and technical arborists to increase overall crew safety, technical ability, and efficiency
- Work with technical staff on difficult sites, provide coaching/instruction to personnel
- Provide professional and courteous customer service to clients
- 2+ years of Field and Climbing Experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Class D Driver’s License
- Must successfully pass a DOT Physical Exam upon hire
- CPR and First Aid certification within six (6) months of hire
- ISA Certification within 6 months of hire
- Class A Driver’s License within 9 months of hire
- CTSP Certification
- 3+ years of Field and Climbing Experience
- Class A or B Driver’s License
- ISA Certification

Work is performed outdoors in any weather element throughout urban and rural areas. May be required to bend, reach, stoop, and lift objects; may be exposed to safety hazards and hazardous tools and equipment; during which safety precautions must be followed, including use of safety equipment. Must be able to lift 50 pounds at any given time.
