Quality Control Manager, Supply Chain

We are looking for an experienced Quality Control Manager, Supply Chain who is searching to do what they'll love - oversee and manage Supply Chain food safety compliance! Do you have experience in food safety and supply chain? Do you love food? If so, read on! We may have the role of a lifetime for you!

The qualified individual has at least 5 years of warehouse quality control experience and is a raving fan of the Trader Joe's concept. A Bachelor's Degree in Quality control, food technology or food science is strongly preferred. This role is based in our Distribution Center in Minooka, IL.

• Ensuring Supply Chain vendors are in compliance with Trader Joe's Minimum Vendor Requirements.
• Effectively ensuring food safety compliance standards are being followed by WCD QC teams at the warehouse and within other food handling operations.
• Supporting the Product Integrity Committee (PIC) as needed, to ensure effective regulatory compliance while minimizing exposure of the company
• Managing customer compliant systems and provide guidance and support to WCD QC in continuous improvement objectives.
• Initiating appropriate corrective action when non-conformances occur and provide training where necessary.
• Working collaboratively with other departments.

• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in quality control, food technology, food science or related equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of Warehouse Quality control and food safety.
• A problem solving mentality and can perform root cause analysis when something goes wrong.
• Ability to motivate themselves and others and is results driven.
• HACCP, PCQI, SQF practitioner certification(s) preferred.
• A valid driver's license
• Is flexible with their work schedule as the position requires some travel and weekend availability.
