Salary- Engineering Technician IV: $5,587 per month*
- Engineering Technician III: $5,008 per month
- Engineering Technician II: $4,505 per month
Engineering Technology/Highway Construction skills required. Salary depends on experience.
Job Description- Aggregate, Bituminous, Concrete, Soil Assurance Testing:
Perform Independent Assurance Laboratory and field testing; prepare clear testing results and maintain records; evaluate sampling and testing procedures; maintain contact with Materials Coordinator. - Asphalt Mix Design Verification:
Verify specific gravities of aggregate components; run sieve analysis; conduct Rice and bulk specific gravity tests; determine optimum asphalt content; ensure tolerances. - TCP Training And Other Duties:
Ensure QC/QA personnel qualified; maintain examiner certifications; administer exams; perform milestone coring of roadways. - Assist Project Personnel:
Show new employees testing procedures, forms and reporting. - District & Field Lab Certification:
Calibration and maintenance of all testing equipment; monitor records; maintain inventory and calibration records; inspect field labs.
- Engineering Technician IV: ≥ 6 years experience in construction inspection, surveying, or material testing; college coursework/degree may be substituted; materials testing preferred.
- Engineering Technician III: ≥ 4 years experience; coursework substitution possible; materials testing preferred.
- Engineering Technician II: ≥ 2 years experience; coursework substitution possible; materials testing preferred.
All levels must work in all types of weather, lift up to 50 lbs, carry items up to 50 lbs, and have a valid North Dakota Class D driver’s license. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
