ResponsibilitiesOncology nurses are nurses who specialize in the support and care for patients diagnosed with cancer. They approach patients with empathy and care, administer chemotherapy and/or other treatments, educate patients about their diseases; and manage illness and cancer-related symptoms. They collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to provide physical and psychological support to patients as well as their significant others.
The oncology nurses also provide support and care for a variety of patients other than those diagnosed with cancer that come to our center for their care.
