Surgery Medical/Surgical Unit Emergency Department Birthing Center Intensive Care Unit (ICU)  
** What You'll Do
** As a participant in the Nursing Stipend Program, you'll prepare for a rewarding nursing career while building relationships with clinical teams throughout Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare. Upon graduation and licensure, you'll transition into a full-time Registered Nurse position within your selected specialty area.  You will:

Develop the clinical knowledge and skills necessary to provide safe, high-quality patient care.

Collaborate with experienced nurses, providers, and interdisciplinary team members.

Build a strong foundation in patient assessment, care planning, communication, and critical thinking.

Gain valuable insight into healthcare operations and patient-centered care.

Commit to serving patients and communities through compassionate nursing practice.

** Currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program.

Good academic standing within the nursing program.

Commitment to obtaining Registered Nurse licensure upon graduation.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

** Ability to meet the physical demands associated with nursing education and future clinical practice.

Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and patient care activities.

** Education, Certifications & Licensure
** Current enrollment in an accredited nursing program required.

Successful completion of nursing program requirements required.

Registered Nurse licensure required prior to employment as a Registered Nurse.  Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire into nursing role.

Additional specialty certifications may be required based on assigned department.#
