Location: City of Miramichi
Join Max Aitken Academy as a Permanent Student Attendant, supporting the physical needs of exceptional students. This vital role involves helping students during transportation and at school every workday.
This full-time position consists of 6 hours per day, totaling 30 hours weekly at Max Aitken Academy. Successful candidates will deliver support to students, assisting with hygiene, feeding, and toileting needs. You will play an essential role in guiding exceptional students during community visits and various activities within school.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist students with transportation to and from school
• Provide support during community visits and work placements
• Aid in feeding, hygiene, and toileting tasks
• Supervise and support students during school activities
• Carry out additional assigned duties as required
Requirements:
• Proficiency in written and spoken English
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team
• Understand and address the needs of exceptional students
• Willingness to undertake essential training if required
• Capacity to perform physical tasks as needed
