Elevation Recruitment Group is partnering with a leading textiles business to recruit a proactive HSE Officer. This hands-on role will see you working closely with the management team to develop, implement, and maintain health, safety, and environmental standards across multiple sites. The successful candidate will foster a positive H&S culture, support continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with ISO-accredited systems, while engaging with colleagues at all levels to create a safe and sustainable working environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with safety policies and HSE management systems.
  • Promote continual improvement in safety standards and culture.
  • Conduct accident/incident investigations, implement remedial actions.
  • Manage contractor safety and oversee inductions for new starters.
  • Prepare risk assessments, CoSHH assessments, and Standard Operating Procedures (SoPs).
  • Support ISO
    14001 Environmental Management System
    and EMS compliance.
  • Conduct internal HSE audits and assist with external audits.
  • Ensure timely closure of corrective actions.
  • Collate KPI data for HSE performance and customer audit purposes.
  • Support training and recruitment of HSE team members.
  • Work cross-functionally to support company objectives.
  • Participate in ISO and ethical audits, ensuring zero non-conformances.
  • Take personal accountability for safety, including PPE compliance.
  • Support company environmental initiatives.

I'm keen to speak to HSE Professionals with the following skillset:

  • NEBOSH Certificate
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Experience maintaining ISO-accredited HSE systems.
  • Environmental management qualification desirable.
  • Good IT skills (MS Office, HSE & EMS systems).
  • Previous experience in similar roles, preferably FMCG.
  • Experience delivering HSE training.
  • Strong written & verbal communication.
  • Ability to facilitate change and engage all levels of staff.
