Our client is currently recruiting an experienced Production/Manufacturing Engineer.

Reporting to the Engineering Director, the role of Production/Manufacturing Engineer provides a support function to all areas of production of the business.

Role responsibilities:

Transfer and embed best practice Act as the manufacturing engineering authority on the shopfloor Lead lean improvement, problem-solving, and line balancing activities Drive cost, quality, safety, and waste reduction through CI culture Provide Design for Manufacture input and manage engineering changes Create standard operations, work instructions, and balance charts Support cross-functional project execution Ensure full compliance with EHS and quality standards What were looking for Strong experience with machining/tooling (e.g., CNC turning and milling ) (knowledge of Grinding would be an advantage) Experience in a manufacturing engineering role experience with tool management Minimum of 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment Strong problem-solving skills Ability to interpret engineering drawings and tolerances Knowledge of CAM software and CNC programming 3D Modelling preferably Creo Creating BOMs and routings Experience in fixture design Personal Attributes Excellent communication skills at all levels Work effectively as part of a team and independently manage own time Flexible to the needs of the business with the ability to work calmly under pressure Organised with attention to detail Practical, hands-on engineering mindset Good communication across shop floor and leadership
