Overview
We're looking for a registered dental hygienist to join our growing team! You’ll complete initial patient screenings, conduct dental cleanings, and assist dentists with examinations and procedures. Responsibilities- Use x-ray machines to take photos of the patients’ teeth so the dentist can clearly identify cavities or other oral health issues
- Keep detailed records of each patient’s visit and update their health history
- Provide post-operative health education to patients so they can practice good dental care at home after procedures
- Explain good oral hygiene techniques to patients of all ages, such as thorough brushing and flossing twice daily
- Check for issues such as gingivitis, periodontitis, or caries so patients can receive care as soon as the problem is identified
- Your Responsibilities & Role Impact As a Registered Dental Hygienist at Michiana Smiles, you will:
- Partner with doctors in creating personalized, comprehensive treatment plans
- Deliver patient education using the AAP (American Academy of Periodontology) guidelines
- Foster long-term patient relationships through trust, empathy, and communication
- Support a preventative-care mindset across all aspects of treatment
- Contribute to a culture that values quality, not just quantity
- Has dental hygienist licensure in the state where the job is located
- Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills, and customer service skills
- Clear understanding and commitment to following HIPAA regulations and all safety guidelines
- Valid CPR certification
- At least 1-2 years of experience in dental hygiene
- Active Registered Dental Hygienist license in Indiana
- Associate’s degree or higher from an accredited dental hygiene program
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Passion for delivering a best-in-class patient experience
- A growth mindset and commitment to team success
- In-depth knowledge of dental safety regulations and HIPAA regulations
$83,000-$92,000 per year
