Project Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer

Midwest Finishing Systems is seeking a highly skilled, collaborative Project Engineer to join our growing company. If you enjoy the challenge of managing multi-million-dollar projects from design through installation, then this job is for you!

Midwest Finishing Systems is a leader in the design, fabrication, and installation of complete turnkey systems for industrial finishing and powder coating applications. We custom design and build all our pretreatment washers, dry-off and cure ovens, environmental rooms, conveyance systems, and controls to specific requirements.

• Collaborates with project staff to create a strategic action plan and cost estimates of materials, time, labor, and other resources required to complete the project.
• Facilitates and contributes to the development of project plans and designs.
• Recommends and/or analyzes materials, equipment, and practices used in the project.
• Supervises progress of development project.
• Compares the actual cost of development project to estimates.
• Collaborates with the design group to change plans if problems arise.
• Analyzes equipment, systems, processes, and systems to identify modifications to improve efficiency, increase quality, and reduce costs.
• Prepares periodic progress reports for leadership and customer.
• Ensures compliance with codes, guidelines, best practices, and policies.

• Degreed Engineer is preferred, but not necessary with the right experience level.
• Minimal travel will be required during the project from assessing the initial job site to delivery and installation.
• Proficient in Auto-Cad, Solid Works would be a definite plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

Must possess a valid driver's license and satisfactorily pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check. DUI, reckless driving, or excessive at-fault accidents may be disqualifying.
