Responsibilities- Conduct thorough clinical evaluations tailored to patient diagnoses.
- Develop individualized treatment plans with functional, measurable goals.
- Deliver effective therapy interventions and adjust plans based on patient progress.
- Educate patients and families on therapy goals, prognosis, and home exercises.
- Monitor for adverse responses and modify treatment accordingly.
- Plan and execute timely discharges with appropriate recommendations.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation and billing.
- Participate in team meetings, staffing, and family conferences.
- Collaborate with other professionals and make referrals as needed.
- Provide guidance to rehab techs, volunteers, and students.
- Support departmental initiatives including CARF, JCAHO, and performance improvement.
- Attend and contribute to in‑services and maintain required competencies.
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Licensed Speech Language Pathologist in the State of Indiana.
- Current CPR certification.
- Preferred:
Clinical experience in a Speech Therapy setting. - Acceptable:
New graduates in their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY). - Strong verbal and written communication.
- Flexibility with treatment loads and schedules.
- Initiative, judgment, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to engage patients and families in therapeutic processes.
