Diesel Technician

Overview

DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician / Mechanic to join our Distribution business in Mishawaka, IN.

You will make an impact in the following ways:

• Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop
• Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
• Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles
• Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
• Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
• Maintain own tools

In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Completes complex internal engine repairs
• Detailed understanding of the aftertreatment system and components
• Proficient experience with engine diagnostic software

Base salary rate commensurate with experience. • Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)
• Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
• Locally valid driving permit (Preferred)
• This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products

Willing to favor expanded service experience over Cummins experience.

• 7-3:30 or 8-4:30PM (need to be able to work either shift)
• This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre-employment drug testing requirements. This roll will be subject to on-going random drug and alcohol testing.
