Intermediate Business Analyst

New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company, is seeking an Intermediate Business Analyst to support business management, governance, process improvement, reporting, analytics, and change management activities within a complex technology environment.

The Business Analyst will work across business and technical teams to gather and document requirements, analyze processes, develop governance frameworks, support management reporting, and recommend operational improvements. The successful candidate will be a well-rounded Business Analyst with strong analytical capabilities, advanced Microsoft Excel skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with moderate autonomy.

• Elicit, analyze, document, and validate business requirements.
• Conduct business analysis and develop recommendations to improve business processes and operational efficiency.
• Develop process maps, workflows, business rules, and operating frameworks.
• Facilitate process analysis discussions and identify opportunities for workflow improvement.
• Develop and maintain governance frameworks, standards, policies, and supporting business management practices.
• Monitor compliance with operational controls and established governance requirements.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret data from multiple sources to support management decision-making.
• Develop reports, summaries, and executive briefing materials.
• Prepare and present findings, analysis, and recommendations to staff and management.
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings, requirements sessions, workshops, and process reviews.
• Support change management communications, stakeholder engagement, and adoption activities.
• Work effectively with cross-functional business and technical teams.
• Manage multiple initiatives and deliverables with minimal supervision.
• Support administrative activities and other business management projects as required.
• Adapt to changing priorities and evolving business and technical environments.

• 5+ years of experience in information technology, business operations, financial analysis, business management, or business analysis.
• Strong experience with business requirements elicitation, analysis, validation, and documentation.
• Experience with process mapping, workflow analysis, business rules, and process improvement.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including hands-on experience with Power Query and Power Pivot.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
• Experience preparing executive-level presentations, summaries, reports, and briefing materials.
• Experience working effectively with cross-functional business and technical teams.
• Strong verbal and written communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and independently execute work with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of business management, governance, and change management principles.
• Ability to work effectively in a complex and evolving business and technology environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Information Technology, or a related discipline
