Construction Helper

Job Summary

We are looking for reliable employees with a good work ethic to add to our growing construction division as a Construction Helper. Mainly Monday to Friday, full time. This position requires travel to multiple job sites throughout the Lower Mainland, so a reliable personal vehicle and valid driver’s license are necessary.

The wage for this position is $23 to $28 per hour. The exact rate will be determined based on the candidate’s experience and skill level.

• Perform various tasks on construction sites as directed by the supervisor
• Assist with the setup and cleanup of construction projects
• Load and unload materials, tools and equipment
• Dig trenches and excavations as needed
• Pave and rake asphalt
• Perform routine maintenance work
• Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean work area

• Concrete Vibrators
• Reciprocating, circular & concrete saws
• Mortar and concrete mixers
• Grinding machine
• Jackhammers
• Air compressors and air guns
• Tampers (Jumping Jack)
• Small front end loaders
• Chain saw,Compactor and Forklift
• Sledgehammer
• Hand Tools
• Laser Level

• Previous experience in construction or related field preferred
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical labor for extended periods of time
• Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment
• The ability to use a laser level and shoot grades is a must
• Strong work ethic and ability to work well in a team environment
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions

Located in Mission, D&T Excavation Ltd is an established civil contracting company. We specialize in road works, utilities, shoring and excavation working on various sites across the Lower Mainland.
