Public Works Labourer BC

Support the City of Mission's Public Works team as a Labourer focused on Roads & Drainage. This full-time role combines hands-on labor with critical infrastructure maintenance tasks.

Mission is hiring two Labourer2 positions dedicated to the repair and maintenance of roads and drainage systems. As part of this diverse role, you will handle tasks ranging from asphalt repairs to snow removal and signalling for the safe operation of construction vehicles. Reporting to the Crew Supervisor, you'll play a key role in ensuring projects are executed safely.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute maintenance on municipal drainage infrastructure

• Maintain roads through asphalt patching and grading

• Operate vehicles as a flag person and spotter

• Help load and unload construction materials safely

• Document all work completed on assigned tasks

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent is necessary

• Proven experience in construction maintenance work

• Valid Class5 BC Driver’s Licence essential

• Traffic Control Certification & Occupational First Aid Level1 required

• Physical capability to perform essential job duties
