Dental Assistant Level II

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices and excellent interpersonal skills to ensure a positive experience for our patients.

Duties

Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments, ensuring that all necessary instruments and materials are prepared in advance.

Take diagnostic dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed, adhering to safety protocols.

Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Dentrix.

Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.

Sterilize and disinfect instruments and work areas to maintain a clean environment.

Assist in pediatric and orthodontic procedures, demonstrating a compassionate approach to younger patients.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred; familiarity with dental terminology is essential.

Proficiency in dental software systems such as Dentrix is highly desirable.

Experience in pediatrics or orthodontics will be considered an advantage.

Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and team members.

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Certification in dental assisting or relevant qualifications is required.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour

Dental Assisting: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

Dental Assistant with BCCOHP (preferred)
