Palliative Medicine Memorial Hospital

Overview  We are seeking a compassionate part-time (0.6 FTE) palliative care physician to join Fraser Health Authority for the Mission Memorial Hospital site. You will provide Most Responsible Provider (MRP) coverage at Christine Morrison Hospice and offer palliative care consultations to acute care and community-based patients, working with a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities   Provide Most Responsible Provider (MRP) coverage at Christine Morrison Hospice.
Provide palliative care consultations to acute care and community-based patients.
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary palliative care team to deliver integrated care.
Qualifications   Eligibility for medical licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia.
Certification from either the College of Family Physicians of Canada or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Preference for additional training in Palliative Medicine, including:
One-year enhanced skills residency with the Certificate of Added Competence (CAC) through the College of Family Physicians of Canada.
Two-year Royal College subspecialty in Palliative Medicine.
CCFP (PC) or FRCPC as appropriate per credentialing requirements.
Facility  Mission Memorial Hospital is a 50-bed community hospital with a 10-bed hospice. It provides primary acute care services including 24/7 emergency, outpatient and inpatient services, general medicine, laboratory and diagnostic services. The hospital is integrated with networked community-based programs and services.
Compensation  Alternative Payment Plan; relocation reimbursement up to $10,000; MOCAP on-call payments.
