Mission is located on the unceded, ancestral, and shared territory of the Stó:lō Peoples, specifically on Leq’á:mel, Semá:th, Máthexwi, Kwantlen, Sq’éwlets, and Katzie traditional territories in the lower mainland of BC. Job Description

The City of Mission is seeking experienced Court Liaison Officer to join our RCMP department on a temporary full-time basis for six months. The successful candidate will complete specialized work in the RCMP detachment related to court system operations, and evidentiary requirements in order to expedite the transmittal of prosecution reports to Crown Counsels, and the efficient processing of persons through the criminal justice system.

Qualifications

Completion of Grade 12 supplemented by post-secondary courses in a related field and/or successful completion of job-related training; completion of UCR scoring course as well as PRIME training, including the Records and Court Liaison Officer components; a minimum of 5 years operational experience in police/criminal investigation work and in court procedures. You will have a thorough knowledge and understanding of the Criminal Code of Canada, applicable federal and provincial statutes, municipal bylaws, RCMP policies and procedures, judicial proceedings, and Court administration.

You have have a demonstrated understanding of CPIC, JUSTIN, PRIME, and UCR/OSR scoring, Intellibook, and CJIM.

Additional Information

As this is a temporary assignment, the successful candidate must already hold an active RCMP Enhanced Security Clearance. The 2025 hourly rate of pay is $40.94 plus 4.4% in lieu of all benefits. The hours of work will be Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm on a 9-day fortnight schedule (extended hours for nine days and one day off every two weeks).
