Fraser Health needs a dedicated Mental Health Specialist to enhance care for Indigenous clients through the Overdose Outreach Team. You will conduct assessments, provide counseling, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote effective service delivery. A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work is necessary, along with significant experience in complex health settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete thorough psychosocial assessments and counseling

• Manage short-term case management for clients

• Educate on harm reduction topics and resources

• Liaise with Indigenous community agencies for client support

• Document client interactions in accordance with regulations

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution

• Two years of relevant healthcare experience, including Indigenous focus

• Proven ability to work with diverse and marginalized groups

• Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle for business use

• Certification in First Aid and CPR Level C
