Our public sector client is seeking a Senior Network Support Specialist Level 3 to support secure mission-critical communications and network infrastructure operating within complex defence and security environments
.

This role supports the maintenance, configuration, accreditation, and operational sustainment of classified and protected network environments. The environment includes enterprise and tactical communications systems, wireless networks, SATCOM, VPN technologies, cross-domain solutions, and multi-site infrastructure operating across geographically dispersed locations.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, evaluate, test, and recommend data communication hardware and software solutions
• Coordinate installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and resolution of hardware and software issues across secure network environments
• Support accreditation activities for classified and protected IT systems and prepare associated accreditation documentation
• Prepare technical reports, network architecture documentation, configuration guides, standard operating procedures, and technical presentations
• Monitor network performance and traffic, maintain service records, update network diagrams, and document issues, resolutions, and lessons learned
• Develop and maintain security and accreditation documentation, including operational concepts, risk assessments, and authorization packages
• Support the development, testing, and maintenance of network continuity and disaster recovery plans
• Collaborate with technical teams, stakeholders, and operational users to ensure network availability and performance
• Participate in system integration, testing, and sustainment activities within secure environments

Must Haves

• Network Support Specialist - 10+ years
• Ultra-High Frequency (UHF),
  Very-High Frequency (VHF), or Beyond Line of Sight (BLOS) - 3+ years

Nice to Have

• 5+ years evaluating, testing, and recommending data communication hardware and software
• 5+ years preparing technical documentation, procedure manuals, and operating guides
• 5+ years monitoring network traffic, supporting capacity planning activities, and testing disaster recovery procedures
• 5+ years delivering user training, familiarization sessions, or technical knowledge transfer
• 5+ years maintaining technical records, asset inventories, network diagrams, wiring documentation, and issue logs
