The City of Mission is hiring for a part-time Facilities Operations Attendant 1, focusing on cleaning, custodial, and upkeep responsibilities. You'll participate in maintaining ice arenas, pool facilities, and public service areas, ensuring they are clean and functional. This role includes duties like equipment operation, grounds maintenance, and supporting room setups for events.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform diverse cleaning tasks like scrubbing and polishing
• Operate cleaning equipment and manage refuse disposal
• Conduct snow and ice removal on outside grounds
• Assist with minor maintenance, including fixture replacements
• Maintain facility security and report safety concerns
Requirements:
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and safe practices
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
• Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent
• Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence
• Minimum 6 months' experience in building operations
