Part-Time Facilities Attendant Position

Join the City of Mission's team as a part-time Facilities Operations Attendant—a role dedicated to janitorial and minor maintenance tasks across community facilities.

As a Facilities Operations Attendant 1, you'll be responsible for varying custodial duties at municipal buildings including ice arenas and pools. In this role, you will ensure the establishment remains welcoming through essential cleaning, equipment management, and minor repairs. You'll also support outdoor maintenance and assist with setting up rooms for different events.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and refurbish facilities with attention to detail

• Operate and maintain essential cleaning equipment

• Perform outdoor maintenance, including clearing snow

• Execute minor repairs on fixtures and furniture

• Ensure safety and security in the facilities

Requirements:

• Understanding of commercial cleaning products and equipment

• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities

• Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence

• Grade 12 completion or equivalent

• Six months’ experience in facility operations
