Position: Maintenance Role: Facilities Technician
Join the City of Mission as a Facilities Operations Technician, focusing on maintaining key community facilities like the ice arena and pool. Work four days a week, with competitive pay and a shift premium.

In this role, you will perform various skilled tasks related to the maintenance of public facilities operated by the Parks, Recreation & Culture department. Your responsibilities include monitoring refrigeration plants, conducting repairs, and ensuring public areas are safe and clean. You will also assist community groups and respond promptly to emergencies, all while maintaining detailed operational records.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain HVAC and refrigeration systems

• Clean and disinfect public areas regularly

• Respond to alarms and manage facility security

• Assist with room setups for community events

• Document facility operations thoroughly

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Minimum two years in facility operations and maintenance

• Pool Operator Level 1 and 2 Certificates

• Refrigeration Operator Certification

• Basic First Aid and valid Class 5 BC Driver's Licence
