Facilities Operations Technician

Join the City of Mission as a Facilities Operations Technician and support our community's recreational facilities. Your skills will enhance operations for our ice arena and pool while ensuring top-notch customer service.

This full-time role involves performing varied maintenance tasks, demanding strong knowledge of ice-making and facility operations. As part of the Parks, Recreation & Culture department, you will manage the maintenance of equipment and facilities, complete janitorial tasks, and uphold safety standards. Your contributions will foster a welcoming environment for residents and visitors alike.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain ice-making and refrigeration equipment

• Perform HVAC, plumbing, and building repairs

• Monitor and record operations of the arena refrigeration plant

• Clean public areas and set up for events

• Respond to emergencies and maintain facility security

Requirements:

• Grade 12 graduation, Building Service Worker course

• Power Engineer and Pool Operator certifications

• 2 years of experience in facility maintenance

• Refrigeration Operator Certification

• Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence
