Salary : $28.00–$40.00 per hour, depending on experience

Responsibilities
Operate heavy equipment safely, including material handlers, excavators with grapple and magnet attachments, and other equipment as needed.
Load and unload scrap metal from trucks and containers.
Sort, process, and move ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
Maintain safe traffic flow in the yard.
Complete daily inspections and equipment records.
Perform routine cleaning and basic preventative maintenance.
Report hazards, equipment issues, and maintenance needs promptly.
Follow WorkSafeBC regulations, company safety policies, and environmental procedures.
Assist with general yard duties and support efficient operations.
Qualifications
Heavy equipment operating experience required.
Experience in scrap metal recycling, demolition, construction, forestry, or aggregate industries is an asset.
Forklift certification is an asset; training may be provided.
Mechanically inclined with the ability to identify equipment issues.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Able to work safely in all weather conditions.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work when required.
