Senior Purchaser

The Purchaser's primary goal is to lead the Company forward in securing quality suppliers of materials and components with price, delivery times, and quality targets being met.
This position is  in-office, full-time, Monday-Friday .

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Managing and controlling the company’s external suppliers with emphasis on the purchase of materials and finished parts for production
Ensure parts and materials are bought at the most competitive price and delivered on time for production.
Establish strategic relationships with key suppliers who are aligned to the company’s needs.
Identify new suppliers, agree terms, and negotiate supply agreements where appropriate, including discount structure, volume rebates, and shipping costs
Continually improve purchasing methods and drive down external spending
Creating and searching for new parts assemblies to help reduce costs and promote efficiency
REQUIREMENTS:
5+ years as a Purchaser, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial work environment or equivalent experience
Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication in English
Excellent computer experience and knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite
Previous experience with ERP software (Quick Books preferred)
Strong organizational and planning skills
Capacity to solve problems using good judgment
Able to work under pressure with minimal supervision
Other important skills are, attention to detail, commercial awareness, technical knowledge, and the ability to work to deadlines
