A premier and expanding heavy equipment manufacturing organization based in Mission, BC is seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to join their dynamic team.

This hands-on position plays a critical role in building industry-leading, high-performance agricultural machinery and concrete pump truck systems distributed worldwide. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, bringing strong technical blueprint comprehension, mechanical aptitude, and experience integrating hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems to ensure exceptional product quality.

Pay Rate: $25.00–$32.00/hour (commensurate with experience)

Schedule:

Day

Shift: Monday–Friday 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Afternoon

Shift: Monday–Thursday 2:30 PM – 1:00 AM (includes a $2.00/hour shift premium)

Eligibility:
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in mechanical assembly, vehicle building, or a closely related trade
Practical understanding of basic electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems

Responsibilities
Interpret technical blueprints, schematic diagrams, engineering specifications, and production work orders to plan assembly steps
Build out sub-assemblies and main structural components for heavy equipment, including frames, axles, suspension networks, wall extensions, and specialized flooring
Route, mount, and install electrical wiring, lighting packages, and pneumatic/hydraulic braking systems
Utilize hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, and specialized shop equipment to fit, fasten, and secure mechanical assemblies
Perform rigorous in-process quality inspections to confirm all components meet strict tolerance levels and structural standards
Identify, document, and report any material defects or assembly variations to supervisors
Complete production logs, work order documentation, and sign-off sheets accurately
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation following established WorkSafeBC standards
Collaborate with shop leadership (Custom Shop or Assembly Foremen) to streamline workflows and support continuous improvement goals

Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of proven mechanical assembly experience in manufacturing, heavy trade, or equipment fabrication environments
Strong proficiency in reading, interpreting, and working off complex mechanical blueprints and work instructions
Solid mathematical comprehension and practical problem-solving capabilities
Proficient in the safe operation of air tools, power tools, manual workshop equipment, and measuring tools
Must possess (or be willing to acquire) a basic set of hand tools and a rolling toolbox within 30 days of start date
Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long durations, and work comfortably in an active manufacturing setting
Exceptional attention to detail, strong work ethic, and reliable communication skills
Valid BC Driver’s License and reliable transportation to commute to Mission, BC
