Senior Coordinator Emergency Management

Position: Senior Coordinator for Emergency Management
Lead emergency response efforts with the Canadian Red Cross as a Senior Emergency Management Coordinator.

Your role will focus on volunteer management and service execution in a hybrid work model.

This temporary, full-time position based in Fraser Valley, British Columbia, requires a minimum of three years of experience in emergency management, community development, and volunteer supervision. You will manage local Emergency Support Service and Personal Disaster Assistant lines to ensure effective service delivery and train volunteers to enhance response capacity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee volunteer recruitment, onboarding, and management

• Ensure timely execution of ESS and PDA service lines

• Build partnerships with community leaders and response organizations

• Support local emergency response plans and debriefs

• Manage supplies and process for effective disaster response

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years in emergency management or related field

• Experience with volunteer management and training

• Strong understanding of disaster response protocols

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and volunteer systems

• Valid driver's license and clean abstract
