Join Siloam Mission’s Medical Transitional Care Unit as a Mental Health Nurse dedicated to supporting individuals experiencing homelessness. This role combines nursing, mental health support, and direct care within a compassionate transitional housing model.

The position welcomes Registered Psychiatric Nurses, Registered Nurses, and Licensed Practical Nurses with a focus on mental health. You will deliver essential nursing care, conduct assessments, and collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to enhance resident stability and well-being. Your efforts will significantly impact residents facing complex mental health and substance use challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care in a supportive environment

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments and identify changes

• Administer prescribed medications and monitor responses

• Utilize trauma-informed techniques for emotional distress

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members effectively

Requirements:

• Registered Psychiatric Nurse or equivalent licensed in Manitoba

• Two years of clinical experience preferred in mental health settings

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

• Experience with marginalized populations is desirable

• Strong commitment to harm reduction principles
