As a Sales Associate, your main priority is to give every customer the best shopping experience possible. You’ll greet customers, help them find the right products for their projects, suggest add-ons they might not have thought of, and process transactions quickly and efficiently. You’ll also handle special orders, support your teammates, and keep your area of the store looking great.

You’re often one of the first people a customer talks to, so your attitude and product knowledge make a real difference. You’ll also be an important part of the team – communicating openly, pitching in wherever needed, and helping create an environment where customers and colleagues both feel welcome.

• Greeting customers within a 5-foot distance in a friendly manner, in accordance with our greeting policy
• Assisting customers in finding products and offering product knowledge to enhance their shopping experience
• Using our customer service approach – Greet, Qualify, Recommend, and Close – to understand each customer’s project and suggest the right products and any helpful add-ons
• Looking up products and prices for customers using our systems and website, including special orders and regular products
• Creating special orders and ordering products for customers as required, and following up when their order has arrived
• Processing transactions quickly and professionally, including returns and exchanges
• Facing shelves and completing minor stock replenishment and shelf cleaning as requested
• Staying proactively informed on promotions and product availability
• Working collaboratively with teammates to keep the store running smoothly and to support a great customer experience
• Completing opening and closing duties
• Always working in compliance with Work Safe standards
