Security​/Control Room Supervisor​/Operations Responder Reserve Team Critical Facil

Position Overview

Secure your career as an Operations Responder/Security Shift Supervisor/Control Room Supervisor at Securitas Canada Limited. The role is based in North York, Richmond Hill, Vaughan, or Etobicoke, and requires a flexible schedule of 24–40 hours per week.

Wages: $29.00–$33.62 per hour

Locations: North York, Richmond Hill, Vaughan, Etobicoke

• Ensure that only authorized personnel and equipment enter or exit secure production areas to protect critical data.
• Read, understand, and apply the latest Security Operations Procedures (SOP) and related communications.
• Write, review, and document Shift Activity Reports (SAR).
• Conduct screening of all personnel entering/exiting secure areas using walk‑through and handheld metal detectors.
• Identify prohibited items and prevent their introduction or removal from secure zones.
• Perform routine checks on detection equipment at shift start.
• Maintain screening checkpoints in accordance with SOP.
• Interact effectively across diverse cultures.
• Monitor traffic flow and recommend staffing adjustments as needed.
• Follow chain of command and correct procedures for escalation of issues.
• Escalate violations to the Shift Security Supervisor.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Shift Security Supervisor.
• Ask screened personnel for feedback on the screening process.

• Valid Ontario Security License.
• Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate.
• Thorough understanding of security protocols, procedures, and emergency response.
• 3 years of security experience or 5 years of direct customer‑service experience.
• Strong communication and written skills.
• Eligibility for a Reliability Clearance from the Government of Canada.
• Ability to follow procedures and maintain attention to detail.
• Capacity to work in an isolated, quiet environment.
• Preferred:
  Own vehicle (not all sites are bus accessible; some require a 15‑20 minute walk).
• Flexible to travel to different locations within 1–2 hours’ notice.
