Security​/Control Room Supervisor​/Operations Responder Reserve Team Critical Facil

Position Overview

Wages: $29.00-$33.62/hr

Locations: North York, Richmond Hill, Vaughan, Etobicoke

• Read, understand, and apply the latest security operation procedures (SOP), bulletins, and communications related to the role.
• Write, review, and document Shift Activity Reports (SAR).
• Conduct screening of all personnel entering or exiting a secure production area.
• Ensure compliance with all required screening procedures and policies.
• Identify prohibited items and prevent them from being introduced or removed from the secure area.
• Perform function checks on walk‑through metal detectors (WTMD) and handheld metal detectors (HHMD) at the start of each shift.
• Maintain screening checkpoints in accordance with SOPs.
• Ensure proper screening procedures and techniques are employed as per the SOP.
• Interact effectively across diverse cultures.
• Monitor checkpoint traffic flow and recommend staffing adjustments as necessary.
• Follow the proper chain of command and procedures for issues requiring escalation.
• Escalate issues and/or violations to the Shift Security Supervisor.
• Report to the assigned Shift Security Supervisor.

• Valid Ontario Security License.
• Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate.
• Thorough understanding of security protocols, procedures, and emergency response.
• Three years of security experience or five years of direct customer‑service experience.
• Robust communication and written skills.
• Eligibility for a Reliability Clearance through the Government of Canada.
• Ability to follow procedures and be detail oriented.
• Capacity to work in an isolated and quiet environment.
• Access to a personal vehicle (preferred).
• Willingness to travel to client sites, sometimes within one to two hours’ notice.
• Flexibility to work 24‑40 hours per week as required.
• Some sites are not bus accessible; walking 15–20 minutes from the stop may be required.
