Join Yonge Street Mission as an Employer Engagement Specialist, focusing on enhancing employment opportunities for clients. This part-time position emphasizes building relationships with employers to support job seekers.
As part of YSM’s Integrated Employment Services (IES) Program, you will play a critical role in bridging the gap between clients and potential employers. This involves actively developing employer relationships, educating them about client needs, and negotiating necessary supports. The role is part-time, requiring 3 days of work each week until March 2027, with potential evening and weekend shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Establish and nurture employer relationships aligned with participant skills
• Monitor and hit job placement targets
• Act as a liaison during onboarding and job trials
• Educate employers on supporting clients with barriers
• Perform site inspections to ensure safe work environments
Requirements:
• Degree/diploma in marketing, business, or similar area
• 1+ years of employer engagement experience
• Track record with diverse client groups
• Excellent problem-solving and relationship-building skills
• Knowledge of local labor markets preferred
