As a Housing Outreach Worker, you will facilitate housing placements through direct advocacy and relationship-building. Your primary tasks will involve scheduling visits, conducting assessments, and liaising with landlords and property managers to uncover housing opportunities. You will play an instrumental role in guiding participants toward safe and sustainable living conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Complete assessments and create housing plans for participants
• Advocate on behalf of participants with landlords
• Conduct outreach via cold calls and meetings
• Build relationships to enhance housing opportunities
• Assist with setting up income support applications
Requirements:
• Strong listening and interpersonal skills
• Experience in housing programs or sales is a plus
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and vehicle
• Understanding of working with diverse populations
• Solution-focused mindset and teamwork skills
