In this role, you will engage directly with the community, offering essential services such as meals and clothing, while promoting a Housing-Focused practice. Applicants should have 1-2 years of relevant experience and post-secondary education in social services or similar. Your ability to respond quickly to emergency situations and support volunteers will be crucial in enhancing the lives of those you serve.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct support to community members accessing Drop-In services
• Monitor and incorporate a Housing-Focused approach in interactions
• Assist community members with their diverse needs
• Respond effectively during emergency situations in the Drop-In
• Prepare required documentation like incident reports and logs
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in social services or equivalent experience
• 1-2 years working with diverse populations
• Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships
• Knowledge of trauma-informed best practices
• Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure situations
