As the City of Mission's newly established Program Coordinator for Safety & Prevention Outreach, you will report to the Manager of Community Wellness. This role involves connecting municipal departments, enforcement agencies, and local businesses to develop coordinated safety strategies. Your expertise in communication and project coordination will be vital as you navigate various stakeholders and sensitive issues.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and lead community safety initiatives
• Engage with enforcement and social service providers
• Support partnerships encouraging community wellness
• Tackle emerging community issues collaboratively
• Improve overall service delivery and program impact
Requirements:
• Four years of relevant community outreach experience
• Degree or diploma in Public Administration or related field
• Training in harm reduction principles a plus
• Standard First Aid with CPR-C and AED certification
• Valid BC Driver's Licence mandatory
Contribute your skills in problem-solving and relationship building to enhance community safety in Mission.
