Family Support Worker at MCSS

Make a difference as a Family Support Worker with Mission Community Services Society, focusing on family well-being and support. This full-time role emphasizes assessment, intervention planning, and client guidance.

In this position, you will gather and assess family functioning problems while developing treatment plans with an integrated case management team. You'll assess client needs, deliver parenting skills training, and offer emotional support. Regular participation in case management meetings ensures you stay aligned with client progress and effort.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather client information through observations and interviews

• Assess needs and risks to identify family issues

• Develop and modify client service plans collaboratively

• Participate in integrated case management meetings regularly

• Provide referrals to community service providers as needed

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in human/social service field

• Minimum one-year relevant experience

• Certification in First Aid and Crisis Intervention

• Valid B.C. Driver’s License and reliable vehicle

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
