Senior Accountant

Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant with a blend of public accounting and private industry experience
. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with strong technical accounting fundamentals and hands-on experience supporting month-end close and financial reporting.

Location: Hybrid in Mission Viejo area

• Prepare journal entries and month-end close schedules
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and research variances
• Assist with financial statement preparation and analysis
• Support internal and external audits
• Partner with AP and AR teams to ensure accurate accounting
• Maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Participate in process improvements and special projects

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 4+ years of accounting experience
• Public accounting experience required (Audit preferred)
• Mix of public and private accounting experience strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, debits/credits, reconciliations, and financial statements
• Experience with month-end close and journal entries
• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP)
• ERP experience such as Net Suite, Great Plains, SAP, or similar

Candidates must have a strong accounting foundation and be able to demonstrate proficiency in debits and credits, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement relationships. Technical accounting knowledge will be assessed during the screening process.
