Mission Heritage Medical Group in Mission Viejo, CA (Providence St. Joseph Health) is seeking a Board-Certified Pulmonologist for a full-time outpatient locum assignment to cover a medical leave. This is an ideal opportunity for a provider looking for a stable, predictable schedule in a well-staffed clinic with no call, no inpatient responsibilities, and a manageable patient load with ramp-up support.

• Specialty: Pulmonary Disease (Outpatient Only)

• Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours Only

• Schedule:

  • Monday Friday

  • 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m. (flexible within window)

  • Guaranteed 8 hours/day

  • min lunch break based on provider preference

• Start Date: December 1, 2025 (dependent on interview + onboarding)

• End Date: April 7, 2026

• No call, no inpatient, no procedures outside standard pulmonary outpatient work

• patients per day (ramp-up expected; start around 10/day)

• Ample built-in charting time; overtime not expected

• Strong support team including:

  • 6 Medical Assistants

  • 1 APP

  • 1 Office Staff Member

• EMR: Epic

• No hospital privileges required; simple paperwork + payor onboarding only

• Active California Medical License

• Active CA DEA

• Board Certification Pulmonary Disease

• Pulmonology outpatient experience

• Assignment is strictly full-time; facility will only accept one provider

• Reason for need: Medical leave coverage

• No extension anticipated at this time.
