Position: Teacher for 5th8th grades ELA Math History Social Studies

Company Description

Creative STEAM is a 501(c)(3) non-profit learning center in Laguna Woods, CA, offering an innovative alternative to traditional schooling. We provide small group learning environments funded by community partners to empower students from TK to 8th grade with skills in various subjects. Our mission is to foster a love of exploration and discovery through interactive and engaging learning experiences, supported by fundraisers and donations for facility upgrades and scholarships.

Role Description - TEACHING POSITIONS AVAILABLE

Job 1:
Part-Time Elementary Teacher (3rd-5th Grade History and/or Science)

Seeking an enthusiastic educator to work on-site 1-2 days per week, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, focusing on instructional excellence and a dynamic learning environment.

Job 2:
Part-Time Middle School Teacher (6th-8th Grade History and/or Science)

Seeking an enthusiastic educator to work on-site 1-2 days per week, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with similar responsibilities as above.

Job 3:
Part-Time High School Teachers (9th-10th Grade ELA, Math, and Science)

Seeking an enthusiastic educator for our new and growing high school program, with 1-3 days per week, from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Opportunities for more hours in the future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement curricula aligned with state standards, Common Core, and ICAN requirements.
  • Create engaging project and lesson plans promoting project-based, hands-on learning.
  • Deliver high-quality instruction tailored to diverse student needs.
  • Foster open communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Maintain an inclusive classroom environment that promotes creativity, critical thinking, and discovery.
  • Qualifications:

    • Experience in curriculum development and elementary education.
    • Proven teaching experience and strong communication skills.
    • Ability to create engaging learning experiences and foster exploration.
    • Collaborative spirit with students, parents, and staff.
    • Multi-subject teaching credential.
    • Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs occasionally.
