Staff Accountant

SUMMARY

The Staff Accountantis responsible for contributing tomaintenanceofaccurateand organized financesthrough clear financial reporting and careful general ledger maintenance.

This rolesupportstax compliance andassistswith tracking environmental requirements at the federal and statelevel.

This position requiresworkingclosely with teammateswithin the accounting department, as well asacross the organization to solve problems, improve processes, and support the success of our renewable fuel andbiodieseloperations.

• Prepare andassistin various GL accounting duties, including research, analysis, reconciliation, journal entry, transaction entry, and financial statement preparation
• Assistin preparation of multi-state fuel tax compliance and file state fuel tax reports
• Assistin providing periodic actual results for key performance indicators andassistsplant staff in explaining variances
• Assistin transactional compliance reporting in federal andstateenvironmental programs
• Assistin Identifying and implementing process improvements in all areas
• Backup and learn other duties in the accounting department
• Assistmanagement in special projects as assigned
• Assist with preparation ofbiweekly payroll for plant production sites

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance,Businessor related field required
• Minimum of 2yearsrelevant work experiencerequiredif degree not in accounting
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including basic functions and data entry capabilitiesrequired
• Ability to remain composed and productive in high-pressure situations while ensuringtimelytaskcompletion
• Ability to perform routine account reconciliations and provide support on more complex reconciliation tasks as needed.
• Ability andwillingnessto adapt to new systems, tools,ande evolvingprocessesin a dynamic work environment.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.
• Demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to being acollaborativeteam playerwitha strong senseof ownership and alignment withthe company’s vision and mission.
• Ability to prepare routine and procedural reports & records
• CPA certificationor CPAeligibilitypreferred
• Advanced knowledge of Excel preferred

Work environmentisprimarilyoffice-basedwith no noise hazards.

Monday through

Friday, working hours to bedetermined.

This position is on-site and in-office full-time.

Based onfinancial reporting deadlines, extended hours and weekend work maybeoccasionallyrequired.
