Construction Manager/ Foreman
The Foreman plays a critical role in leading on-site construction teams to deliver projects on time, on budget, and to Enduro Builders’ exceptional quality and energy-efficiency standards.
This role requires a driven and proven leader who can bring together new team members, foster collaboration, and motivate them to perform at a consistently high level.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the carpentry teams to deliver quality workmanship on schedule and within budget.
- Foster a team culture of accountability, efficiency, and pride in doing the job properly the first time.
- Ensure all projects meet Enduro’s standards for quality, energy efficiency, and sustainability.
- Oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring smooth progress, clear communication, and safe work practices.
- Support Site Managers and Construction Manager in the planning, scheduling, and resourcing of work.
- Train, mentor, and develop carpentry apprentices and team members, encouraging continual improvement.
- Monitor progress and quality, addressing inefficiencies, rework, or safety risks immediately.
- Maintain open communication with the Site Managers regarding progress, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
- Adopt and deliver on Enduro Builders’ Company Values and Mission.
Main Duties
- Establish and lead our in-house carpentry crew to achieve daily and weekly targets.
- Coordinate materials, tools, and labour resources in advance to maintain consistent productivity.
- Interpret plans, specifications, and schedules to ensure all work is delivered accurately.
- Conduct on-site quality assurance checks and ensure defects are rectified before project handover.
- Ensure full compliance with Building Codes, Australian Standards, and Work Health and Safety regulations.
- Ensure full compliance with our in-house safety systems (primarily use of Site Book)
- Record progress and job notes through the company’s online project management system (Wonderbuild).
- Liaise with Site Managers, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of required components.
- Lead daily site start-ups and toolbox meetings to ensure clarity of goals and safety expectations.
- Support estimators with time-tracking feedback and productivity metrics to improve future job costing
Key Performance Indicators
- On-time, on-budget completion of allocated site activities.
- Positive team engagement and retention within the carpentry crew.
- Achievement of productivity KPIs (labour hours per task).
- Provide consistent feedback to the estimation team to ensure alignment between allowed hours and actual hours is maintained.
- Delivery of defect-free work at handover.
- Adherence to safety procedures and zero serious incidents.
- Accurate and timely project reporting and communication.
Qualifications
- Current Driver’s Licence.
- Trade qualification in Carpentry (Certificate III or equivalent).
- First Aid and White Card certifications.
Experience
- Minimum 7 years in the building industry, including 2+ years leading a carpentry team or equivalent foreman experience.
- Proven success in building and motivating high-performing teams.
- Demonstrated experience in sustainable or energy-efficient construction methods (Passive House preferred).
- Familiarity with online project management systems (Buildertrend, CoConstruct, Wunderbuild or similar).
- Experience coordinating multiple carpenters and managing workflow across residential builds
- Professional approach and positive leadership style.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in technology and willingness to adopt new systems.
- Focused on efficiency, productivity, and continuous improvement.
