As a Psychiatrist, you will examine, diagnose, and create treatment plans for patients, ensuring comprehensive follow-up care and participating in emergency services to provide rapid aid during emotional crises.

Your role will also involve collaboration with a diverse patient population and support for Nurse Practitioners, fellows, residents, and students.

* Key Responsibilities:

*** Examine, diagnose, and create treatment plans for patients with mental health and/or addiction medicine concerns.
* Provide direct patient care, including psychiatric evaluations and medication management services.
* Participate in emergency services to offer rapid aid during emotional crises.
* Ensure comprehensive follow-up care for all clients.
* Join client staffing meetings to identify problems and establish treatment goals.
* Attend required meetings, trainings, and staff development activities.
* Support management needs, including data collection and program evaluation.
* Engage in public and community behavioral health education through various initiatives.
* Complete psychiatric evaluations and medication follow-up appointments in a timely manner.
* Participate in the on-call rotation for physicians (voluntary and for additional compensation).
* Collaborate and provide support to assigned Nurse Practitioners, fellows, residents, and students.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
** Education, Experience, and/or Credential

Qualifications:

*** Medical degree from an accredited institution.
* Completion of a residency program in psychiatry.
* Board certification or eligibility in psychiatry or child and adolescent psychiatry.
* Valid medical license to practice in the applicable state/province.

*** Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex documents and using an electronic health record system.
* Ability to establish effective relationships via telephone, telemedicine, or in-person contacts.
* Experience in a similar role is preferred.
