General ResponsibilitiesAs the educational leader in the classroom, the teacher is responsible for implementing district curriculum to maximize student learning. The teacher supervises and evaluates all students within their teaching assignment.
Position Details- Position: Teacher
- Reports to: Principal
- Contract: 190 days – New Teacher; 187 days – Returning Teacher
The teacher's duties include planning and implementing curriculum, managing classroom environment, assessing student progress, and fostering a positive learning atmosphere. They must maintain student records, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and seek professional development opportunities.
Qualifications- Valid Kansas Teaching License
- Ability to interpret district assessment data and communicate effectively in writing and speech
- Bilingual skills are valued
- Language Skills: Ability to read, interpret documents, and communicate effectively with diverse audiences
